The majority of visitors arrive by air and usually through Beijing, Berlin, Moscow or Osaka and Seoul.
Mongolian international air transport is operated by MIAT Mongolia's national airline, and it has brought its safety practices for international flights to near Western standards (Note: MIAT has successfully introduced e-ticketing and online booking is available through its website miat.com.) On international flights, MIAT allows 30kg of baggage for business travellers and 20kg per person for economy travelers. Domestic flights are operated by Aero Mongolia, EZNIS and MIAT also and allow 10kg of baggage. Full-time students receive better deals and that requires a valid ISIC card (International Student Identity Card)
In July and August, most flights are full, so book well in advance.
